Waymo vs Tesla FSD Round 2: Across the Geofence
A Tesla on FSD races a Waymo robotaxi from Hollywood to Inglewood across the Waymo geofence, with the Tesla arriving 22 minutes sooner.
We're back with another Waymo vs Tesla FSD race! This time we decided to make things a little more challenging and have the Waymo drive as far as it could go — from the top of the Geofence (Hollywood) to the bottom of the geofence (Inglewood).
Tesla arrived at the destination 22 minutes faster, despite using just computer vision and cameras. Waymo cost $62 while Tesla FSD costs $99 for a whole month of unlimited access ($3.33 a day). And the Waymo took 16 minutes to arrive at the pickup point while Tesla FSD ran on the existing car in my garage. Safe to say, I think Tesla is the winner on this round.
