Tesla Autopilot FSD is still in early beta, and there are lots of situations where the driver will want or need to take over driving. Here is a video to give you a sense of a few examples of real-life disengagements. The foundations of this system are strong and the implications are extremely profound: this could be the greatest safety enhancement since the seatbelt. Nevertheless, people like to focus on the disengagements and not the potential of the system. Please keep in mind that this is an early beta and the system will perform much better once released. That's why we test it. All testing is done with cautious attentive safety drivers who are ready to take over at any time should they anticipate a potential issue.
